IQ gets you through School, EQ gets your through life

Developing IQ

Developing your child's intellectual skills by sending them to school, college and university prepares them to potentially have a great career;

  • Mathemathics
  • Languages
  • Literacy
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Business Studies
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Science
  • Biology

But, getting great grades and having a developed IQ makes up only 20% of the factors that determine life success, while other forces, such as EQ, wealth, temperament, family education levels and a bit of luck make up the rest.

Today's career seekers are actively seeking out candidates who are emotionally intelligent as they are more productive, better team players, get on better with others, handle pressure more healthily, good listeners, resilient and able to deal with feedback and setbacks.

Developing EQ

Developing your child's emotional intelligence gives them the skills to have great friendships and relationships;

  • Confidence
  • Healthy Self-Esteem
  • Self-Value
  • Self-Awareness
  • Self-Acceptance
  • Self-expression
  • Authenticity
  • Courage
  • Assertiveness

It prepares them for life by giving them the skills to deal with whatever may come their way;

  • Anxiety
  • Bullying
  • Worrying
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Loss
  • Fear

How EQ helps IQ

When you feel emotional, all you can think about is what is upsetting you, you can’t focus or concentrate on what you are doing. So, imagine what your child feels like when they are experiencing strong emotions at school. When they have the tools to deal with their emotions, as and when they happen, they can easily bounce back which means they can focus and concentrate on what they are doing.It also means that they will enjoy school so much more.

With our EQ Toolkit, Developing your Child's Emotional Intelligence is now as simple as teaching them to 'paint by numbers'

Research has shown that 50% of our ability to learn is developed by age 4 and another 30% by age 8. This is why we at Teddy's Inc. believe that developing a child's Emotional Intelligence (EQ) during their early years gives them the skills to understand and manage their emotions and gives them the tools to deal with whatever comes their way.

    Deborah McPhilemyCreated by Award Winning Author, Speaker and Master EQ Trainer Deborah McPhilemy.

    I stumbled across Emotional Intelligence in 2003 when I was looking for a way to heal from my past and to understand myself, my emotions and my mind.  Even though I was already a Health Coach and Family Counselor, I was still struggling.  EQ training gave me the specific tools and skills I needed not only to help myself but to help my children to deal with bullying, grief and loss and to build the confidence they needed in school and in life.  I love everything EQ, I love how it changed me as a person, how it helped my children and how it changed my entire family's life.  I am so passionate about it and nothing puts a bigger smile on my face when I get little messages from my clients sharing with me how much it is changing their lives too!

    All references are from our EQ Club Members and can be contacted via our Facebook group

    The training is of a high quality, the resources are amazing, the tips and techniques work and I can't thank Deborah and Teddy's Inc. enough!

    I reached out to Deborah to ask her  for advice with my 3-year old son. I didn't know what to do when he wouldn't listen to me or when he threw tantrums.  Every time she gave me a tip or technique to try with him, it worked.  I then decided to do the E.Q. Foundation course and join the EQ Club. I cannot put into words just how much it has changed my life.  In the course you first get to know yourself and to understand yourself before you learn how to help your child. I got to know myself and for the first time ever, I feel normal. I now understand who and what I am. I have also become a much calmer mum. I now understand him so much more and its not only brought us closer, but its brought my husband and I closer too.  Experiencing so much change in my own life and in my family's life, it awakened a passion within me to teach others too, so I took the step to become an EQ Tutor.

    This has probably been the best investment I have made for my family and for myself is a very long time

    I have learned so much about myself in the past weeks.

    I have finally made the connections that for so many years have been the “missing link in my mind and my heart”.

    It’s been an incredible journey of self-discover.

    Practically, I have seen it change my outlook as I see people and situations so differently now. I've had some serious light-bulb moments.

    I'm truly grateful that I'm learning and teaching my children such valuable lessons

    "I just wanted to say thank you Deborah so much for these amazing lessons. Becoming Emotionally Intelligent is sooooooo important. I'm truly grateful that I'm learning and teaching my children such valuable lessons which I am sure will make them better people. Thank you for being our mentor and teaching us to be more compassionate empathetic people.'

    When I asked them afterwards how they felt they both said they felt relaxed and that it is a nice feeling!

    Hi Deborah.....I would like to share something GREAT with you. We are having our School Holidays at the moment and this week I was doing the breathing and feeling your heartbeat with closed eyes technique with my own two kids (10 and 6 years old).  While doing this exercise their reaction was the following: with closed eyes they both were sitting there and after a while they both smiled spontaneously each at their own time still with their eyes closed.....when I asked them afterwards how they felt they both said they felt relaxed and that it is a nice feeling...what a great experience for both of them and also myself. We will surely use this technique on a regular basis.I am also excited to share this technique specifically with as many kids as possible. I really appreciate all the effort you and your team puts in to make this journey with Teddy's Inc. a one of a kind.

    OMG, Emotional Intelligence is the missing link.

    As a child I suffered from a lot of depression which continued into my adult life. After completing the course and reading your book, I now finally understand myself and my family. I found the tools so helpful too!  I am going through a divorce at the moment and this has helped me to help my son to deal with it so much better.

    I'm really enjoying the course and notice changes in myself already

    I'm finding it quite exciting discovering people's personalities and analysing things on a deeper level.

    I Love It!

    Debbie I just thought I'd tell you I did module 1 today and I LOVED it!!!!

    I just wanted to tell you! I'm so excited about the rest of the course. You have a way of explaining things so clearly!!
